It is the process of communicating visually using typography and images to present information, usually used whenever visual intricacy and creativity are needed to present text and imagery. It can also be applied to the layout and formatting of educational material to make the information more accessible and more easily understood.

Designing a masterpiece graphically is the art of combining text and graphics to communicate an effective message. It is primarily used in the design of logos, brochures, newsletters, posters, signs, and other type of visual communication. Graphic design is the use of words and images to pass on information or to create a certain visual effect. This art form is sometimes referred to as commercial art because of its application to advertising and its vital contribution to business function.

Graphic design practice embraces a range of cognitive skills, aesthetics and crafts, including typography, visual arts and page layout. Graphic designers have a unique ability to sell a product or idea through effective visual communications, and are asked to perform the difficult task of being creative every single day.

Combining visual communication skills with the interactive communication skills of user interaction and online branding, graphic designers often work with web developers to create both the look and feel of a web site and enhance the online experience of web site visitors. Color is also another powerful way of helping users find their way around a site, and color coding sections of the site helps users identify where they are.

Graphic design adds a visual and emotional context to the purely cognitive text on the site. The primary tool for this art form is, of necessity, the creative mind. With the advent of computers and software applications, the task of the designer has become a little easier, as these have provided more effective production tools than traditional methods. It is a creative profession and things that were once only conceived in the mind are brought to life through skills and imagination.

There is a downside to the inclusion of graphic design on websites. Many designers have tried to force the Web to be what it is not, creating ineffective and sometimes unusable websites. There is a tendency to forget that words, and not images, are the building blocks for the vast majority of websites. People are strongly visually orientated, and their response to the website's aesthetics and visual structure plays a strong part in how they interact with it as a whole.

The mid 1980s heralded the arrival of desktop publishing and the introduction of graphic art software applications. This introduced a generation of designers to computer image manipulation and 3D image creation that had previously been a tedious and intensive process. Today's graphic designers often use desktop publishing software and techniques to achieve their goals.

Graphic design requires that the advocate must continually keep up to date with the development of new and updated software, usually either on their own or through software training programs. Contrary to popular belief, anybody with the right software can not necessarily do it, creativity is the biggest attribute that needs to be added.

Graphic design is not just a case of being fluent in some type of software, but also about communication, solving visual problems, and imagination. The tools that are now available do not detract from the need for creative imagination, rather just make the performance of the task easier, and perhaps open the floodgates to applications that may have been out of reach previously.

Sharron Nixon is a 44 year old mother of 3 who lives in New Zealand. Eye-catching, bold and exciting, they create an impact from across the room—even in the busiest convention center or exhibition hall.

Unfortunately, knowing how to create show-stopping graphics isn’t as easy as spotting them. Many experienced designers know little about large-format trade show booth graphics—and without the proper guidance, getting it right can be difficult.

So if you’re investing in a new trade show graphics display or considering whether your current graphics really get the job done, consider these six tips for ensuring your trade show exhibit graphics get the attention your business deserves:

Don’t assume that brochure graphics will work in a display. Even the best-made brochure or print ad design is unlikely to function in your trade show exhibit. Why? Because trade show display graphics are generally several times larger than your other collateral pieces. While you can use some images and content from your other collateral pieces, be careful when repurposing your designs – keep headlines trim, images large and written content short and easy to read. Putting too many messages, hard-to-read fonts or competing images in one graphic display will only confuse people and make them disinterested.

Do keep it simple. Effective trade show display graphics are like highway billboards—they must communicate three key things in three seconds or less: who you are, what you do and why a customer should choose your product. If your prospects were driving by at 65 miles per hour, would your graphic message clearly answer these three questions before it was out of sight? If so, you have just designed yourself an effective large-format trade show graphic.

Don’t trust just any printer. The best trade show exhibit graphics come from printers who are skilled in large-scale design and have the tools necessary for picture-perfect results. Look for a printer who specializes in trade show displays and graphics, has a high-quality printer designed for the job and has invested in color management software.

Do proof your artwork in its final size. Not only will it make it easier to check for problems with your image resolution, but it will also give you a better sense of the impact your trade show exhibit graphics will make.

Don’t use images you pull from the Web. They might look great onscreen, but they’re unlikely to reproduce well in large formats. Instead, expect to need graphics that will have at least 100 dpi at their final output size.

Do enlist the help of a trained professional. If you’re overwhelmed by the requirements of trade show exhibit graphics—or if you just want an expert to provide guidance and advice—don’t be afraid to ask. Because as anyone who’s had a graphics disaster can attest, getting sound advice before your artwork goes to press is priceless.

Trade show display graphics are one of the most important aspects of your entire exhibit. After all, no one will notice your exciting multimedia presentation or innovative new product if your graphics don’t first stop them in their tracks.

Whether you’re designing your graphics in-house or using a professional [http://exhibitsusa.com/PagEd-index-topic_id-19-page_id-29.phtml ]trade show exhibit company, remember these six tips to success with trade show exhibit graphics—and discover the difference great design can make.

Daniel Chaddock is President of E&E Exhibit Solutions, a one-stop trade show display company founded in 1995. As you can probably imagine, the answer depends on many different things.

In many ways, it is difficult to make accurate charts showing the cost of graphic design services. Graphic design costs are tied into talent and reputation as are so many other areas that require artistic skill. It might help to think of the difference in cost between a painting of a bowl of fruit your grandmother is selling at a local art fair and a Van Gogh being sold at a New York auction house.

One thing that is certain is that graphic design is something that will cost money. Graphic designers generally work on specific jobs for specific clients as opposed to artists who might be commissioned to do a work or might just do it in hopes of a future sale. So, since the graphic designer is always going to be directing his talent and skill toward a specific project and for a specific client, a specific price must be established for the services rendered.

Graphic design rates for business related types of projects are usually the most clear cut as far as price scale goes. A logo might cost around $500 and a complete brochure around $400. These two examples illustrate an important concept of design. It would appear at first glance that the logo would require less actual work to produce when compared to a complete brochure. Although this is true, the logo also will require more artistic skill whereas the brochure is more of a nuts and bolts design project. The lesson is that you have to pay for imagination and talent.

The graphic designer faces the same situation. The Department of Labor tells us that the average salary for a graphic designer is just under $30,000 for employees with less than one year of experience. This is assuming that the designer has a degree in graphic design. The salary average goes up to almost $50,000 after 20 years. We can also learn with a bit of research that most graphic designers charge hourly rates that run around $80 an hour for their services.

Although these figures give us some idea of graphic design rates, they do not tell a complete story. The bottom line is that every graphic designer is an artist. It does not matter if they are designing logos or brochures or web sites. In the end, much will depend on the skill and talent of the graphic designer and the sky is the limit. This applies to both sides. If you want the very best, you have to be prepared to pay a little more. If you are a designer, you may turn out to be the Van Gogh of graphic design. Although hopefully your true talent won’t have to wait until years after your death to be appreciated.

Find [http://www.designservicestudios.com/]design service studios in your area at DesignServiceStudios.com

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Aazdak_Alisimo http://EzineArticles.com/?What-Is-Graphic-Design-Going-To-Cost-You?&id=780151

Posted By: Illusion Technologies
http://www.illusiontechnologies.com

Graphics Design

The Help Of Graphics Design
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Methyl_Vizcarra]Methyl Vizcarra

Graphics design is presenting information visually with images and text. It involves a wide range of cognitive skills, aesthetics and crafts. It is used from the simple traffic road signs to the logos of company we are working or dealing with.

True that graphics design evolves as fast as technology. From the paintings in the caves of Lascaux around 14,000 BC to the numerous use of it not only to attract the eyes of people but also to bring information and to communicate visually. Here are several uses graphics design:

In Advertising

Graphics design plays a big part in advertising. In order to draw attention from potential customers, they use aesthetic and emotional appeal to their products. This includes the company logo which is considered in corporate identity and branding.

In Entertainment

From the backdrop, to the posters, to the visual story telling, graphics design is always being used. This helps bring in the interest of viewers or readers to intended mood. For film, it is used in opening and closing credit. For theater plays, it is used props, backdrops and posters. For books, it is used in covers and in the content itself.

In Journalism

Graphics design helps in presenting the author's opinion or even on giving facts in writing news, articles, blogs and journals. It is not necessary but it will be an improvement on the visual information.

On our Ancestors

It was used by our ancestors to communicate.

Graphics Design

Web Site Design- Use of Graphics and Fonts Part I
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Mark_Fortimer]Mark Fortimer

The use to which you put graphics and fonts in your web site design is more important than you might believe. It is more than just personal preference since they can not only affect the readability of your web pages, and hence the time that visitors stay on your site, but also your search engine listings.

Both graphics and the fonts that you use for your text should be chosen carefully, and not just because it looks good to you, or even different. You might think that your graphics look nice, but they should not dominate your web page. Graphics should complement a page, and be used intelligently to convey a message.

Website graphics are in either GIF or JPG format. JPG formats are generally better for photographs and GIFs for general website graphics such as buttons and menu bars. When inserting a graphic into a web page it is important that you state the dimensions as in:
.

This is because it takes time to load a graphic, but if your browser knows how much space is going to be needed it can set that aside and continue loading the rest of the page. The whole page then appears to load faster than if the graphic size was not specified. Some graphics can take a long time to load and you will have to keep an eye on that. Animated graphics especially can take ages, and your visitors will tend to disappear since they are generally not very patient when they visit a site.

Want to learn more about it? Here is a primer.

Graphic design is the use of words and images to pass on information or to create a certain visual effect. It is used both to refer to the effect that is created and the actual act of creating it. There is much overlapping between what is called advertising art, graphic design, or even fine art. Many of the elements of all three of those things are similar, but graphic design involves just about everything that can done with words and pictures to convey information.

Graphic design has administrative applications. It could be anything from the design of a road sign to the layout of a technical manual. The idea that necessary information can be passed on more readily through the use of clever pictures and carefully prepared word order is all part of graphic design. Advertising is one of the areas that is commonly associated with graphic design. It can be used in the layout of individual ads or it can be used to create a special identity for a company through logos or a process known as branding.

Graphic design is also used in education. It has been found that proper presentation of visual materials is a very valuable aid to the learning process. Text design and the use of graphs, charts, and other visual enhancements are all used to accomplish this. Entertainment is another area that makes extensive use of graphic design. The opening and closing credits of motion pictures is one example of the use of graphic design in entertainment.

Web design is the current “hot” field in graphic design. With the explosion of the World Wide Web, the field of web design has been one of the most rapidly growing segments of graphic design. The computer has also expanded the tools used in graphic design. Computer graphics have given designers the chance to quickly do things that in the past took a long time and a lot of labor. It gives the designers a chance to almost instantly try various techniques to evaluate them. A click of the mouse button erases everything and allows them to start over. This was not possible in the past and saves a lot of ink.

Graphic design may not be the same as fine art which serves the purpose of creating beauty for the sake of beauty itself, but it is the art of our times. The talent that graphic designers bring to their work educates and informs. It helps power our marketplaces and entertains us. The future of graphic design is exciting to consider as each day seems to bring some break through in creativity and technology.

Find [http://www.designservicestudios.com/]graphic design services in your area at DesignServiceStudios.com

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Aazdak_Alisimo http://EzineArticles.com/?Introduction-to-Graphic-Design&id=780113

Illusion Technologies: Graphics Design

Web Graphics - Are They Necessary?
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Bruno_Auger]Bruno Auger

Graphics are visual elements often used to point readers and viewers to particular information. Graphics add spice and style to web pages, and can help your visitors visualize what your site is about and how it's structured. Graphics are commonly used in business and economics to create financial charts and tables. Graphics are among the primary ways of advertising the sale of goods or services.

Websites began to use the GIF format to display small graphics, such as banners, advertisements and navigation buttons, on web pages. There is no limit in the Web specifications to the graphical formats that can be used on the Web. There are many resources, demos and tutorials on the basics of graphics design and construction, including integrating images into your webpage's that you will find on the web. Numerous websites have been created to host communities for web graphics artists.

Modern web browsers can now display JPEG, PNG and increasingly, SVG images in addition to GIFs on web pages. Web Images Can Be Used To Add Realism To Edited Photos. Computer graphics researchers at Carnegie Mellon University have developed systems for editing or altering photographs using segments of the millions of images available on the. JPEG images have generated tremendous interest among photographers, artists, graphic designers, medical imaging specialists, art historians, and other groups for whom image quality is paramount and where color fidelity cannot be compromised by dithering a graphic to 8-bit color. Apart from that, resolution problems are in the image file itself, and must be corrected there: use or create a higher-resolution image file.

3D computer graphics are works of graphic art that were created with the aid of digital computers and specialized 3D software. In recent times, digital photography has opened the way to an infinite number of fast, but strong, manipulations. Whether you'd like to browse your image collection and view pictures, convert between formats, print your graphics as hard copy, acquire images from a digital camera, maintain a sophisticated keyword database, decode pictures from the Internet, process and fine-tune your photographs. As part of an industry that is at the forefront of information technology, Graphics must be a leader with respect to the converging technologies in multimedia, computer-assisted design, reprographics and digital printing, network information services and network-based processing, electronic imaging, custom publishing, and electronic information access.

Computer graphics are often used in the majority of new feature films, especially those with a large budget. Since then, computer graphics have become more accurate and detailed, due to more advanced computers and better 3D modeling software applications, such as Cinema 4D. Most modern web graphics are made with Adobe Photoshop, the GIMP, or Corel Paint Shop Pro. Yet most page design elements, diagrams, typography within images, and many illustrations are composed of hard-edged graphics and bright color boundaries that are seldom encountered in photographs.

Bruno Auger creates a web graphics club.
Everyone need fresh new graphics for their websites.
Find out how you can obtain new graphics every
month at http://www.thewebgraphicsclub.com

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Bruno_Auger http://EzineArticles.com/?Web-Graphics---Are-They-Necessary?&id=698342

Illusion Technologies: Graphics Design

Graphic Design Come Alive!
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Camy_Koh]Camy Koh

Graphic design is an area for the creative and the tireless.

It is an area for those who love to put together images or motion graphics (or both) with typography in place. In can help you in several tasks, including resizing images, rotating, cropping, color correcting, adjusting brightness and contrast, red-eye reduction, photo filtering, and even superimpositions, to name a few. Images can be imported from digital cameras, scanners, the internet, and images from the hard drive for editing.

A good, reliable graphic design software is an integral part in web design; magazine publications; the creation of graphic novels, the creation of marketing materials such as posters, brochures, covers, sleeves, and billboards; and in designing t-shirts, mugs, and collectibles among a host of other things.

Types of graphic design software

Generally, there are two types of graphic design software: raster graphics and vector graphics. In simple terms, raster graphics is used to create simple and static graphic images while vector is used to create more advanced graphics.

Raster graphics creates images from simple line arrangements and usually has a bitmap format, where the image is pixelized (those visible squares that appear when you enlarge a photo).

Some examples of raster graphics include Paint Shop Pro, GIMP, and Adobe Photoshop. There are ways of generating graphic designs, which the professionals always use to come up with quality design portfolio ideas. These include generating graphic designs for websites, ecovers, headers, logos, pictures, logos and so on. They all generally follow the same pattern as far as graphic design is concerned. At the end of this article you will be able to generate graphic design ideas using some of these techniques.

Getting web graphic design ideas will depend on whether you want to place the design as a background or whether you want to generate the design for a header. For website background, professionals generally search the web for website backgrounds which are mostly free, download it and save, then modify the colors and add text related to their websites’ theme, if they wish, before finally uploading it to their site. Another website graphic idea which is common with headers is to get a blank header and type your desired text on it, adding styles like fonts, shadows and bevels. This technique also applies to ecovers as well. With a professional blank ecover one can add texts, colors and appropriate fonts and pictures which is directly related to the product or service, and your end result is a professionally designed graphic.

The reason why many people prefer to use blank ecovers, headers or website background is because only professionals know the true value of color combinations that match. You only generate loads of ideas from what professionals have already designed.

For simple graphics, one can still take the professionally designed pictures and graphics to come up with so many graphic design ideas, even for t-shirt design ideas. The best way to do so is to make a shape such as circles, ellipse, hexagon, square, rectangles and so on using your shape tools; then place the picture or shape into the shape you just made, then edit the shape by appropriate resizing. You can get more than ten different shapes from a single picture using this method.

This is the major secret behind the successful design of marketing experts. They leverage the hardwork of highly professional graphic designers to come up with their own unique graphics that people will cheer and admire.

You can use those shapes and images to come up with over a thousand graphic design ideas. Most of all, you can do them within minutes. This service comes as a bonus when you get the actual product. Click here to find out more. To that end, it is time to consider graphics. Graphics aren’t necessarily just eye-catching highlights; they can be integral to the overall user experience. Your layout may be based around a main graphic; your primary linking structure may be based on custom buttons. Your banner, logo, and miscellaneous images may all play their roles in drawing the eye to key links and content.

Your first major choice is just how far you want to go with graphics. A quick web search reveals that most professional sites include relatively limited graphic design work. Aside from a logo and maybe a couple high-quality stock images, they are not particularly visually impressive. Following that path will result in a more traditional design, and has the benefits of being clean, professional, and best of all, exactly what the user expects.

On the other hand, such a design is completely standard. You can use more impressive graphics to create a powerful first impression. Just as a nice suit can improve your charisma in face-to-face meetings, attractive images can add a level of presence to your on-line business. A site designed with customized graphics can be just as professional as any other, but may claim an edge over the competition by virtue of being more impressive and memorable.

The key is to make wise use of visual content. Excessive and excessively large images take far too long to load, hindering the user’s ability to interact with the site. Using pictures in place of mundane text hinders search engine accessibility. If the graphics dominate the site, the viewer will pay less attention to the information you provide—such as the benefits of buying your product.

When deciding how to include your pictures, focus on using them to augment the user’s experience. You don’t want images for their own sake. If you have a large graphic, use it to lay the site out, taking advantage of it to draw the eye to particularly important text and links. You want to impress, but not to overwhelm.

Also look to images that are representative of your site. Consider a color scheme. Colors are not clichés; they are clear representations, and some studies do indicate that colors can have an effect on a person’s feelings. A financial or medical site could do worse than using green images, which has been known to represent both wealth and health. Reds and yellows are said to stimulate the appetite. Black is a color of dignity and power.

In short, you want to choose the look that best describes your business. Get your point across with your images, at first glance, and you’re already that far along when the viewer begins reading your text. Choose the right graphics for your website, position them ideally to augment, rather than dominate, the user’s experience. Not only will you enhance your on-line presence, but you’ll also have a website that goes above and beyond the traditional forms and styles that dominate the Internet today.

Copyright © 2007 Dustin Schwerman.

Dustin Schwerman is the primary web designer at [http://www.trulyuniqueweb.com]Truly Unique--Affordable Custom Website Design.

But market testing has proven websites that go overboard with graphic design and special effects actually convert far fewer sales than sites with clean, attractive layouts that do not interfere with the most important element – the content!

I hate it when I come to a site looking for a product or service and I can’t get past the streaming video intro. I also hate it when a fat audio file loads on every page I navigate, or when the flash elements and high-tech animations make it hard to find the order button.

Believe it or not I’m saying this as a professional web designer. And guess what?

According to multiple independent studies the average Internet consumer agrees with me!

It’s a fact – sites with too many bells and whistles will actually drive your customers away before they have a chance to soak up your offer or at least subscribe to your opt-in list. As a rule, I don’t even recommend flash as a viable media for direct response marketing.

Look at some of the most productive retail sites in any niche and you’ll find clean, appealing graphics. But these visual creatives will not overshadow the most important element of all… the site’s content!

Unless you are marketing a video game, a movie, or sophisticated animation software/design service, it’s the content that generates sales and not the bells and whistles that turn your site into a digital carnival.

Don’t get me wrong, both audio and video elements can have a tremendous impact on your conversions; but not if these features are presented in place of quality sales copy and plenty of solid consumer information.

High-tech design solutions should be applied in a way that compliments your content. Your marketing message should never be upstaged by visual theatrics or dazzling sound effects unless you’re in the business of selling such effects to site owners who don’t know any better.

Regardless of how far technology advances it is highly unlikely the average consumer will ever stop demanding quality content prior to his or her purchase of your product or service. So lead with your message and let the special effects blend in and compliment your content delivery.

Keep the balance between graphic design and strong copy, and your visitors will be far more likely to stick around and give you the chance to close the deal.

Tim Whiston is an entrepreneur, website developer, and Internet marketer who lives in the southeastern U.S. Be sure to check out his [http://www.tennesseewebsolutions.com/]website design service and have a look at his [http://www.ebusinesstogo.com/]web business for sale listings.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Tim_Whiston http://EzineArticles.com/?Bells-And-Whistles---Does-Your-Site-Really-Need-Them?&id=690529

Illusion Technologies: Graphics Design

Brief History of Graphic Design
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Bharat_Bista]Bharat Bista

The very first written word of mankind was the beginning of Graphic Design! And its native land was none other then ancient caves and caverns! The very first symbol they had sketched through cave drawings, paintings, markings on boulders, bone, and ivory are the foremost indication and evidence where graphic design was born, nursed, nourished and grown! Nevertheless, the term Graphic Design was named by William Addison Dwiggins in the early 20th Century.

Anthropologists studying prehistoric periods on cave paintings leads us earlier than the Upper Paleolithic period from 40,000 - 10,000 B.C., where our ancestors were learning how to design signs and symbols that could be communicated visually; moreover they were successful on leaving their marks. The pioneers of graphic design are none other then our own ancestors, who had lived in the caves and sketched their drawing on rocks.

History of graphics design roots to our own ancestors of ancient era where civilization was cultured in caves, and left their drawings and sketches for us on their canvas of cave walls and ceilings.

The earliest drawings known today are from 6,000 years ago, are that of carved stone and pottery containers. Drawings contained in Egyptian pyramids with signs, symbols and letters are known to all and it leads us back 5000 years.

Furthermore, from 600-250 BC evolution on geometrical shape and structures in Europe played a major role for the development of designing and sketching. As an applied art of arranging images and text for an attempt of visual communication; the hand written copy of the Christian Bible “The Book of Kells”, created by Irish monks in 9th century AD with rich illustrations is a good example of the evolution of graphic design.

Johannes Gensfleisch zur Laden zum Gutenberg, a German metal-worker and an inventor, introduced a printing technology allowing the re-use of individual letters. The first book produced by Gutenberg press was “The Incunabula”. This book became the standard in the history of book printing and publishing and was a giant leap for printing and publication; though, block stamping on sheets of paper with text and signs carved, was in use in Europe and Asia long before 14th century; however, Graphic design of this era was formatting and we today have named it Old Style graphic design.

Guttenberg era of graphic design evolution was sluggish, until the 19th century, in Britain the division created between fine art and applied art boosted this evolution, and they successfully published some of the most major graphic design products through the Arts movement. William Morris made a great deal of business of publishing books with stylish printings and contributed a significant role to attract the potential market as well as commercializing graphic design; in addition he was the pioneer for the separation of commercial design and fine arts.

Another painter from the 19th century was Piet Mondrian whose innovation has greatly influenced today’s modern graphic designer. Though he was not a graphic designer, his uses of grids was the origin of modern day advertisement known as the grid system; widely used by graphic designer of our century today.

With the decadence of classical style, modern graphic design engrossed in the early 20th century with designs influenced by fine arts. The trademark of early modern fonts is the sans-serif typeface. In 1928, the book “New Typography” written by Jan Tschichold systemized the philosophy of modern typography.

Furthermore, the fathers of modern graphic design are still considered to be typographers such as Herbert Bayer, Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, and El Lissitzky as they broke new ground on typography building techniques and stylizing. Modern computer technology has changed typography production altogether, but for the experimental and evolutionary approach their contribution was highly recognizable.

The booming and flourishing period for graphic design was after World War II; as the American economy thrived, the demand of graphic design, particularly on advertisement and packaging sectors blossomed.

I Love NY ad campaign (1973) and a famous Bob Dylan poster (1968) designed by Milton Glaser are examples of applied graphic design culture and its influence. Progressions in graphic design in the early 20th Century were mostly enthused by technological expansion in printing and also in photography. But at the mid of this century, the raising of the computer era in graphic design has faced little backwards as early computers were far weaker and computer memory was limited. However, within the end of this century with the immense development of computers and its corresponding technologies, modern graphic design has evolved into a business that is done almost entirely on computers.

In mid 1980, the arrival of desktop publishing and the launching of software applications like Illustrator and PageMaker introduced an era of designers to computer image manipulation and 3D image creation. Computer graphic design facilitates instantaneous effects of layout or typography changes.

Today, graphic design the visual communication, is yielded in the rich soil of computer ground, fertilized with latest hardware and software technologies. Graphic designers worldwide plough through computers loaded with the latest gadgets and gizmos, software and hardware, academic and technology, information and communication, and are generating the new history of graphic design in their design laboratories.

With express elevation of the hi-tech industry, the future assures more and today’s designer are contributing their name and effort through their creativity for the next generation. History yet has to write all of her pages for new innovation and invention in this field.

Author: Bharat Bista Resources and References: [http://www.creativepublic.com/ ]Graphic Design - [http://www.artspacedesign.biz/ ]Custom Web Site Design - [http://www.silkflowerdesign.com/ ]Silk Flowers

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Bharat_Bista http://EzineArticles.com/?Brief-History-of-Graphic-Design&id=252795

Illusion Technologies: Graphics Design

Website Development on Your Own Terms
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Scott_Lindsay]Scott Lindsay

The early days of web development saw a relatively small handful of ‘experts’ and had them seeking to find ways to make a website do what their client wanted them to do. There was very little standardized methods to make website development an easy process and each site may have been designed with customized programming that may have been totally incompatible with any other site.

When the number of programmers raised from a few hundred to more than 30,000 it became much clearer that there needed to be some cohesive way to simplify things. This process led to new partnerships and development applications that have become the standards of the day.

As new developments are unveiled they are field tested by programmers and implemented once it is clear that the methodology is workable.

In many cases these new development programs can be refined and repackaged into a form based method that allows non-tech customers to develop a website that is as functional as any other site and at a fraction of the cost.

Certainly this was not possible in 1995, but through the trial and error of more than ten years the best features have risen to the top and the have proven very useful to both programmers as well as online business.

With so many programs available to developers today it is becoming much easier to upgrade features and enhance website productivity.

Many programmers are very interested in making site developments self-directed by their customers. The reason is simply the sheer numbers of new sites that are being developed. If at least a portion of the site can be managed by the customer there are two benefits, 1) less need for one on one development for the programmer and, 2) more direct control by the website owner.

When the business owner has the capability of managing the functions of the website the faster the clarity of vision can be realized. This is largely viewed as one of the predominate features of self-directed programming on website developments.

The cost effective nature of self-directed site development has caused many to wonder why they didn’t look into this solution before. Many new start-up ecommerce sites have discovered this method to be the quickest way to provide their potential customers with the full benefit of their services.

The future of web development has a lot to do with the expectations of website owners and the demands of the consuming public. It is a safe assumption that as new technologies are required there will be programmers who can assist in its development and then work to refine the function so that ecommerce can implement the technology in a self-directed user-friendly format.

Scott Lindsay is a web developer and entrepreneur.

Vector graphics on the other hand, uses mathematical formulas in creating geometric figures, polygons, and lines. It can create and resize images to infinite proportions without losing the image quality. It can also be used to create interactive and animated images, as well as games and advanced web designs. Some examples of vector graphics include Macromedia Flash and Adobe Live Motion.

Recommended Graphic Design Software / Consumer Information

A complete [http://www.pickyguide.com/computers_and_software/graphic_design_softwares_guide.html] Guide to GRAPHIC DESIGN SOFTWARE is available in [http://www.pickyguide.com/computers_and_software/graphic_design_softwares_guide.html]Picky Guide one of the fastest growing online magazines giving [http://www.pickyguide.com/computers_and_software/graphic_design_softwares_guide.html]free consumer advice and product information.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Ilse_Hagen http://EzineArticles.com/?Raster-And-Vector-Graphic-Design---The-Two-Types-Of-Graphic-Design-Software&id=671117

Business Printing - 5 Design Elements That Makes a Difference
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Carla_San_Gaspar]Carla San Gaspar

There are literally hundreds of ways by which companies can benefit from business printing. With its excellent ability to translate designs into prints, business printing and its quality outputs bring in the attention that companies want.

Along with the attention, business profits and recognition are sure to follow. More than ever, businesses can ably garner and reap more rewards than what they have expected.

Brochures, flyers, catalogues, posters and other print products would make excellent advertising and promotional tools. The assortment of these materials and the sheer variety of designs one can come up with makes for a full blown campaign.

You can create as many angles, as many messages you want to make full use of each and every print material. In today’s crowded market, advertising with print products helps companies gain an edge over others vying for the same consumer loyalty.

Today, business printing services possess the technology to better create quality advertising print materials. With full color printing capabilities, companies can create complex color designs and see them in print within a short period of time.

Yet, quality design encompasses many different aspects that are better understood in detail. Let us take a quick look at some of the qualities that make for better design.

Color Management

You cannot discuss design without bring up color. Color and its many attributes enhance your company, product or brand’s image.

All print products require a good deal of color management to further enhance its marketing qualities. Effective color management can appeal to customers better than objects that appear dull and monotonous. Simply put, colors reflect choices that can attract buyers or audiences better.

Theme

Theme gives your projects direction. You have to learn to exert effort to focus on one single theme as much as possible to put emphasis on the message you are trying to deliver.

Good design cannot be achieved with multiple and scattered ideas. It is about focus and direction. And it is theme that would best demonstrate this essential quality.

Form

By form, we refer to shape and size which in its way affect design. There is a reason why books or posters or flyers follow certain standards. It has something to do with its practical use.

As they say, form follows function and vice-versa. Good design is something usable. It also serves it function better as more people can recognize them.

Graphic Design

Aside from color, graphic design – images, texts, and illustrations, are almost always associated with design. We use them to put emphasis on the messages that we want to convey. At the same time, we use them to attract attention.

On another level, images can showcase a more in-depth interpretation of the messages we wish to convey. Also, images can be used to demonstrate examples, graphs that can show progress and exhibit step-by-step instructions that would otherwise be too confusing to describe in words.

Style

Some say styles are a dime-a-dozen. But it need not be so. Like design, it is about over-all look. It is the combined effect of everything mentioned above.

While it is difficult to pinpoint whether something is indeed stylish, it is quite easy to find something that is not.

Excess as well as lack of certain elements are both an assault to style. Use better judgment and let your projects truly reflect your own personal taste to create style. Evaluating design requires good judgment and finding help to assist you with just that is always advisable.

Through quality designs, business printing can gain more exposure. You can enjoy this more through quality business printing services offered by professional printing companies. The right combination of printing, material and printing skills brings another dimension to your design.

It is this comprehensive ability to evaluate and intervene that makes business printing truly unique and the right printing company to do it a match made in heaven. Fulfill your advertising and marketing campaigns with the right business printing know-how, the right attitude and the right printing company.

More information about [http://www.uprinting.com/Business-Printing.html]business printing can be found at [http://www.uprinting.com]Full Color Printing Company - U Printing

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Carla_San_Gaspar
http://EzineArticles.com/?Business-Printing---5-Design-Elements-That-Makes-a-Difference&id=689676

Illusion Technologies: Graphics Design

Graphics
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Kent_Pinkerton]Kent Pinkerton

The history of graphics dates back to prehistoric times when symbols and pictures were the main ways to communicate. Graphics represents any kind of imaginary or real life visuals such as drawings, photographs, line art, diagrams, symbols, maps, etchings, technical drawings or designs made on any surface like paper, wall, canvas or computer. Graphics are used for various purposes such to convey messages, simplify textual information, organize or entertain. They can be black and white, grayscale, or colored; with or without text; and simple or complicated.

Graphics is not only an art and painting form to enhance documents but an important accessory. It makes text lively and more understandable. Graphics add value to documents by clarifying, simplifying and illustrating contents written in text and attract the interest of readers. Graphics find use in newspapers, magazines, technical drawings, financial charts, advertising, educational material, presentations, online material, CDs, design work, computer games, and more. The study and use of graphics is taught in detail in graphic design courses and such professionals are known as graphic designers.

Graphics can be created from hand drawings, computer programs or photography. Many readymade graphics are available for use depending on terms and conditions. Graphics can also be scanned from printed material. Graphics can be used for small school, home or office projects as well as in graphic design studios by graphic designers. Computerized graphics can be static as well as animated. Animated graphics are much in demand for clipart, bullets, backgrounds, websites, e-cards and films. Computerized graphics are available in various file formats like JPEG and BMP and used depending on the end product and hard disk space they occupy. For websites or emails, formats like JPEG are used, which occupy less space and thus do not hamper the speed of downloading. For print material, heavier file sizes can be used as they will result in sharper prints and retain fineness while manipulating sizes. It is the age of computers and so graphic design is mostly done using software packages. Software programs also allow beautiful special effects which may not be possible otherwise.

Thus, we see that graphics are an indispensable form of art which not only beautify but are a powerful means of visual representations. ‘A picture speaks a thousand words’ is what we all know and appreciate but graphics must be utilized sensibly to realize their full potential. This is achieved by using the elements and principles of graphic design.

Always keep the design and layout of the graphic design as simple and clean as possible, as the more cluttered it is, the more difficult it is for the customer to find the important stuff! When using colors in your graphic design, it is better to use colors from your set of corporate colors. This is because you should present consistency in all your advertisement media, so that people will know how consistent you actually are! Never use all the colors of the rainbow in one design as this only confuses the customer. Perhaps 2 or 3 colors form your corporate color should be enough for your design!

There are tons of free fonts found in the Internet to incorporate in your graphic design. However, it is not always that you can use all of them. Use a single font for the content of your design, and if required, you could use a different, like a bolder and louder font, for the headings and titles of your graphic design. Using too many fonts only makes the graphic design look messy, and proves to confuse the audience. It is always beneficial to use images in the design of your brochures, company profiles, menus, etc. This way, you can entice your customers by illustrating your points through the images.

In graphic designing, it is important to use contrast colors for the background and the font. If the font is a dark color, then a lighter colored background is preferred. Usually a black and white combination is preferred! While creating your graphic design, it is vital to stand back every once in a while to squint at your creation. Then notice the line of text and images in the graphic design. They should actually direct your customer’s attention from the top of the page to the bottom, all in a seamless movement. If the line seems to be out of place, rearrange the matter to get a straight line.

When planning your graphic design, the traditional form of ‘Z’ movement is better where your eye starts at the top left to go to the top right, then making a diagonal to the bottom left to finally end up in the bottom right. This is great for advertisements using lots of graphics or images. Always keep white or empty space in the layout to give some rest to the eyes, and some clarity to the existing information.

These can all be considered to be the elements of graphic designing. Most graphic artists specialize in a number of fields including television, film and computer graphics, exhibition designing, corporate branding, book and magazine designing, advertising and illustration. A graphic designer can rise up in the creative world through his vivid imagination and hard work, and can acquire the post of design directors, art directors or creative directors in his career.

The profile of a graphic artist usually requires him to talk to clients to get a better understanding of their visual communication requirements and, on that basis, develop rough designs or sketches for approval. Once the client approves the idea, a designer prepares layouts of the sketches by using modern techniques like photography, illustration and computer-generated imagery. The layouts, once approved by the client, are printed and then set up for exhibitions or for advertising purposes. Although a graphic artist is only supposed to prepare designs for his clients, it is also imperative for an artist to interact with his client on a regular basis to understand his requirements, and supervise the design production stages to ensure a quality product for his client.

Graphic artists mostly work as a member of a team in design studios or advertising agencies, and after gaining considerable experience one can also undertake freelance work. Although a diploma in creative design is a plus for an artist, personal aptitudes like a creative and imaginative mind, good sense of color and form, good communication skills, good marketing abilities, the ability to work under pressure and ability to work in a team are some of attributes which are essential for a designer to succeed.

Graphic design is quite a rewarding career, and one can gain not only monetary wealth but can also amass fame through hard work and creativity. Macintosh computers provided the memory, processing speed and storage necessary for large design files. Most graphic design firms and printing companies used only Macintosh computers. Today, that trend continues but PCs are making inroads in what used to be territory exclusive to Macintosh. Therefore, the decision on what computer to purchase is not as clear cut as it once was for graphic designers.

Hardware is the first consideration of most freelance designers. While PCs have been proven to rival Macs in terms of processing speed, some people claim that Macs still process large graphic files more efficiently. Also, Macintosh computers have a better maintenance record than most PCs. However, when a hardware problem does arise a Mac can cost more to repair.

Software is where the Macintosh shines compared to the PC. All the major graphic design applications are available for both platforms and run with similar speed. However, the Macintosh operating system has historically been much more stable than the Windows operating system and much easier for the end user to troubleshoot. Additionally, Macintosh computers are far less susceptible to viruses, adware and spyware than PCs, which are notorious for their security flaws.

There are considerations beyond the hardware and software that a freelance designer needs to consider. For example, Macintosh computers typically cost more than PCs. However, once a PC is equipped with the appropriate memory, processor and graphics card to efficiently process graphic files, the cost is fairly similar. If a designer decides to switch platforms any graphic design software already owned must be repurchased under a new license which leads many designers to stick with one platform.

Aesthetics are often a consideration of many designers. Macintosh computers are designed to look sleek and creative while PCs are typically more standard looking. However, some of Macintosh's most originally designed computers are not suitable for graphic design work, leaving a designer with the standard CPU tower, monitor and peripherals, though perhaps in interesting colors.

Finally, careful consideration must be given to interactions with outside vendors and clients. Many printing companies and graphic design firms still have a strong pro-Macintosh bias and may reject native files created with PC software. However, if you are submitting EPS, TIFF or PDF files, the difference in platform will be negligible.

Jonathon Hardcastle writes articles on many topics including [http://1st-computers.net/]Computers, [http://fortheloveofscience.com/]Science, and [http://theeducationstop.net/]Education

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Jonathon_Hardcastle http://EzineArticles.com/?Choosing-a-Computer-for-Freelance-Graphic-Design&id=286662

Illusion Technologies: Graphics Design

Design Business Cards - A Do It Yourself Guide
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Natalie_Aranda]Natalie Aranda

If you are starting a small business with a limited budget that doesn’t allow you to hire a graphic designer to design business cards for you, then there is no need to lose heart.

It serves as “words” during the prehistoric periods. Anthropologists now studies the signs and symbols painted on the cave and caverns to learn more about them.

In Education

Graphics are used mostly in education. In science,one example of which is human anatomy. Teachers use a picture of a human to point exactly which part of the human body they are talking about. In geography, it is used in maps and other graphic materials to illustrate or describe the earth. In Math, different kinds of graph are being used to make a presentation of data more understandable.

On the 3w's

Graphics design is very important in e-Commerce. It should be visually appealing enough to attract visitors to browse the site. But it takes visual communication skills and interactive communication skills to do this.

It is a combined work of graphics designers and web developers to create a web site that would be pleasing to the visitor's eyes.

We may not be conscious about it but graphics design plays a big role in our everyday lives. Websites, html emails, business cards,
banners. Scanners and other digital equipment is HOT! What do
you need to know about the subject of photography to take
advantage of photos in your business?

Many memorable moments would be lost and long forgotten
without photography. The most important thing to photography is
light. The camera is a precise instrument for capturing light.
The word "camera" in Latin means room. The name camera comes
from the first invention towards capturing the world on film,
the camera obscura or dark room.

This invention came about in the 14th century and was used by
such artists as Da Vinci and Michelangelo to more accurately
draw their subjects onto paper. The invention of this box made
way for more advancements in cameras and photography.

There are five essential items in cameras that make
photography possible. They are exposure, refraction, plane of
focus, angle of view and aperture. Exposure is the amount of
time a camera lets film be exposed to light. Refraction is the
bending of light through the lenses of a camera. Plane of focus
is the area where light reforms an image in the film. Angle of
view is the angle created on a lens when you take the two
outermost points you can see through a lens and diverge them to
the exact center of the lens. The angle created will be the
angle at which the camera can take pictures at. Aperture is the
amount of light a lens allows into the camera.

The camera obscura, as mentioned previously, was a large room
with a small hole where light could pass through. The
development of the camera obscura took two tracks. One of these
led to the portable box device that was a drawing tool. In the
17th and 18th century, many artists were aided by the use of
the camera obscura.

By the beginning of the 19th century, the camera obscura was
ready with little or no modification to accept a sheet of light
sensitive material to become the photographic camera. The
other track became the camera obscura room, a combination of
education and entertainment.

In the 19th century, with improved lenses that could cast
larger and sharper images, the camera obscura flourished at the
seaside and in areas of scenic beauty.

Of course now there are much more practical ways to take
photographs. From the traditional 35mm cameras to the newest
cellular phones equipped with digital cameras. Big ones, small
ones, and anything else you can think of. There is a camera to
fit your needs and lifestyle, or even your color preference.
The world of photography has certainly grown a lot over the
years. Taking into consideration your usage when purchasing is
key to investing in the proper equipment.

~~~~~
Valerie Sipple is the webmaster of:
http://www.rgphotography.com
a great resource for everything about photography.
Source: http://www.isnare.com
Illusion Technologies: Graphics Design
How Do You Define A Good Logo Design?
By Ray Smith
Everyone wants his company logo to be the best but how good is
good? How do we define a good logo? Is it necessary to be
colorful or an exquisite piece of art? Can a simple design work
as a good logo? We are often in a dilemma.
Now to define a good logo design we first need to understand
the purpose of having a logo. A corporate logo is one of the
most essential branding elements for your company. It should be
instrumental in building your corporate identity and should
successfully exude the company’s attitude. The viewers must have
some idea about the disposition, character, or fundamental
values of your company through your logo. The functionality of a
logo does not end here, I have not yet mentioned the most
important function of a corporate logo. Your logo should be able
to build a positive, strong and long lasting impression on
existing and prospective customers. The very moment a person
views your logo, even a part of it, he should think of your
company.
Just think of some of the all time great logos, McDonalds’,
IBM, Nike— the moment you see their logos, even if you see a
part of it or may be in Black and White (there comes another
important aspect!) are you able to think of anything else than
the respective company? The answer is definitely NO! The first
thing that comes to your mind is the name of the company. This
shows how strong an impression their logo leaves in our mind.
Isn’t that, what all of us are looking for?
How do you get your logo to leave such a strong long lasting
impression? The key to this question is to make it easy to
remember. Companies often make the mistake of thinking that a
complicated artistic design might work well for them, while the
reverse is true, in most cases. The simpler your logo is, the
easier it is to remember and so it leaves a stronger impression
on the people.
You also need to think of all the possible mediums where you
are going to use your logo. You are not going to use your logo
in only one medium, you might use it on your business cards and
stationery, you might use it in your website, you might also use
it in the conventional media like newspaper classifieds and
magazines. This is why it is most important to inform your logo
design firm about the possible mediums where you are going to
use your logo. You should also check if your logo looks good in
Black and White, because tomorrow if you need to get a document
in black and white with your logo on it, it should be very
easily compatible to that as well.
In the beginning of this article, I have mentioned, that your
logo can successfully convey the character and nature of your
business to its viewers. How do we do that? There are a host of
factors that are considered before designing a logo. When you
place an order for a logo design, as a client it is your
responsibility to give a clear brief of your company profile,
the industry you are in and the nature of logo that you are
looking for, to the designers. If you are not sure about the
nature of logo that suits your company, let the logo design firm
decide on that. There are many logo design companies who are
experienced and they will be much better equipped to suggest you
the correct type of logos. Any good logo design firm would
conduct a market research about the different types of logos
used in your industry by your competitors and their impact on
the people. Based on that they will deliver you a set of logos
from which you can choose any one and then they will customize
that to your perfection.
If you have any corporate colors, as we have red for
McDonalds’, it will be wise to suggest the designers to use that
color in your logo-any good designer would anyhow do that.
One last word, as with any other industry, it is definitely
beneficial to buy professional service than to go for any
amateur designs just to save a few dollars. You might be the
best in your industry but they know their job better than you,
so if you want to get a good result, try to depend on your logo
design company. I do understand that there are certain logo
design companies that charge exorbitant rate to create a logo
design but the industry is changing. These days there are
companies that offer excellent logos for nominal charges. So
before you decide to place your order for your logo design,
check the portfolio of the company and then check the price tag.
You can definitely find some professional logo designs at
affordable rates.
About the Author: Ray Smith is a marketing Expert with years of
experience in different industries and specialized knowledge on
branding and internet marketing. http://www.mycorporatelogo.com
Source: http://www.isnare.com
Illusion Technologies: Graphics Design
Color Plays An Important Role In Design And Graphics
By Ken Snodin
Color schemes are fun no matter what they are being used for.
Color schemes come into play when decorating a room or painting
a house. They are created for use in web pages, clothing, or
arts and crafts. There is something joyous in looking at,
planning, and working with colors and trying to make them fit,
aesthetically, into a piece of work. Colors send emotional
messages, and they illustrate traditions, trends, or themes.
Some of the most interesting color schemes are those applied to
clothing.
In the 1970s, for example, the trend was for neon-like colors.
Pink and green were used together in for a spring fashion
extravaganza, with these two solid colors used in tunics,
shifts, skirts and pants. The two colors in combination provided
a nearly psychedelic display that nearly always brought
springtime back for anyone who wore them. Even if you look at
these colors together today, you will get the same feeling of
spring.
Needlepoint patterns contain complicated and careful color
schemes. These works use hundreds of shades of yarn and thread,
and the artistic designer of a needlepoint pattern makes use of
the appropriate color palettes by combining and integrating
shades and hues of yarn or thread to create fine lines, details,
sharp angles and shadows, and even degrees of light that make
for a nearly photographic image.
In the profession of interior decorating, color schemes are
also complex and demanding. They require much attention and a
lot of study to be effective. The interior designer must think
about things like where the light coming through a window will
strike a particular color and how big a space will look if one
color or another dominates it. These factors enter into the
decisions of where to use particular colors in a home’s
interior. The color wheel is available online at a number of web
sites to help with color scheme decisions. There is also
information online concerning the psychology of color and the
impact that specific color combinations have on humans.
Color tools are also very useful in the area of web site
design. Just like color schemes for offices and other interior
design project, color schemes for web sites are very important
to the overall success of the site. Color may even be more
important online because most web sites are created to sell
products or services, and designers want the site’s visitors to
feel positive about their offerings. Using the appropriate color
scheme and considering psychological factors that are related to
color can make a site more successful. Different demographic
factors, such as age, educational level, financial status,
ethnicity, and others can be impacted through the presentation
and layout of a web site. These elements of a site rely on color
schemes to help them do the work of selling the product or
service to a particular audience.
About the Author: Discover more articles about art, design and
graphics by visiting http://www.design-advice.com
Source: http://www.isnare.com
Illusion Technologies: Graphics Design
Web Site Design Tips - Graphics
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Steven_Wagenheim]Steven Wagenheim
Lots of people in business on the Internet feel that in order to have a web presence with their site, they have to load it up with graphics and tons of visual images in order to make the site more appealing. The truth is, as Les Wilder said in the movie "Angels In The Outfields", less is more. This is very true for web design. In this article, we're going to give you some web design tips for graphics that will give your page just the right look and also keep the load time to a minimum.
For starters, you want to make sure that any graphics that you use on your site are fully optimized for the web. In other words, if you've got some really large images that you want to display, shrink them down not only in size but in file size. The smaller the file size, the faster your page will load. Any good graphics program like Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop will easily reduce your images to workable sizes.
The next thing you want to keep in mind is the number of graphics you have displayed on a single page. Sometimes, just having one or two photos makes them stand out more on the page. When you have a lot of graphics on a page, they tend to get lost in the soup. But with one or two, they will be noticed. Also, by limiting the number of graphics you have on a page, you increase the load speed. Not everybody has a fast Internet connection, so keep that in mind.
If you absolutely must have a large number of graphics on a single page, represent them as thumb nails that your visitor can click on in order to see the larger image. The thumb nails, because they are smaller, will load faster than the full size images. This way, a visitor can see what the image looks like right away and then if they want to see a larger view, all they need to do is click on the image. Of course you will have a note on the page telling the visitor to click on the thumb nail to see the larger view. Not everybody will know to do this.
Finally, you want to make sure that all your graphics are professionally done. If you can't do them yourself, hire somebody. Don't ruin your web site with poorly made graphics. If they are photos, make sure they are high resolution photos. You want the absolute best quality that you can have for your site. There is a lot of competition out there in every niche. A visually poor web site is not going to help you.
By following just these few basic tips, you will greatly improve the look and performance of graphics on your web site.
To YOUR Success,
Steven Wagenheim
Tired of busting your behind for peanuts online? The real art is not just in creating graphics but arranging them in conjunction with other text and images to produce a coherent and interesting piece of work, according to the end goal. This is what is meant by graphic design. The process of graphic design enhances the look of a layout, is attractive to viewers, simplifies the message and helps communicate a message effectively. As simple it may seem, it is lot of hard work.
While creating a graphic design, designers plan and analyze factors such as audience, aim of the message, and medium (such as print, online, book or poster). Once basic requirements are sorted out, text and graphics are organized on selected formats and layouts. Fonts, color, size and arrangement of text and graphics are re-looked at and sent for proofreading. While doing any graphic designing, basic elements design like line, shape, texture, space, size, value, color, balance and rhythm are used. Graphic designs also need to respect the principles of design like balance, color, contrast, emphasis, movement, pattern, proportion, proximity, repetition, rhythm, texture, unity, and white space. All these concepts are not new and have been understood many years back. However, they can be applied in many ways to create unique graphic designs.
The discipline of graphic design has been existent since very long and is becoming more and more flexible with the advent of new software and printing technologies. There are many software packages like Macromedia, Adobe, Corel Draw, and Paint Shop that aid in high quality and complexity of graphic design. Even the most qualified and experienced graphic designers need to be well versed and expert in the use of graphic design software, as almost all graphic designing is now being done on computers. One can easily print out drafts and make modifications many times, unlike the hand created stuff.
The art of graphic design is in high demand these days as it can be applied anywhere like print, films, animations, and computers.
